My fiancee recently went to the Japanese Embassy to try to get a police clearance for the times that she worked there.

The embassy worker said that she would need to get a request from the U.S. Embassy before they would file for it so she went to the U.S. Embassy.

She went to the U.S. Embassy at 2:00 because they will entertain questions from 2 to 3 but the line was long enough that she wasn't able to get in, however the guard gave her a card for an appointment the following day at 10:30.

The next day at her appointment, the girl behind the window at the embassy asked what my fiancee wanted and she told her, the worker then looked at the computer for a few minutes and said that Mylene's name wasn't on the list so she couldn't fill her request at that time.

My question is this; will Mylene's name show up on the computer list when we get our NOA2 approval or only after the paperwork is forwarded to the Consulate in Manila? This is a very important question to me because it takes 2 to 3 months to get a clearance from Japan and we would like to get the process started as soon as possible so that it doesn't slow down our journey.

One more thing; Mylene has a sister that lives in Japan, is there any way that the sister can request a police clearance for Mylene directly from the police in the cities where she worked?

Thanks,

Donnie
