Hi everyone,

I just need guidance regarding filing for US Citizenship; On questions about children; I had a child born out of wedlock and from another woman (not my wife who petitioned me for permanent residency); I am now filing for US Citizenship and of course had to answer Part 10. Information About Your Children; I don't have a good relationship with my daughter's mother and had not seen my daughter for over a decade. I was not able to establish communication with her also when she was growing up and when we were in the Philippines; I see in the document checklist that if you have a dependent child not living with you, an evidence of financial support must be submitted; In our case, my ex-girlfriend did not really gave me a chance to do this for my daughter. How do I go about this then? When I was just being petitioned by my wife to be a permanent resident, she had to submit a notarized letter acknowledging that I had an illegitimate child.Thank you all for your answers.
