Hi Everyone,

My Wife and SD will be arriving here in late May on the IR-1 and IR-2, and whew, that was a long process that we can get into sometime..anyway, my Stepdaughter as it looks right now, has committed herself through her Father's urging to return to Colombia to finish another semester of University, she's 18 years old and a top student.

Since University begins in mid-July and they don't arrive until late May, I'm thinking that their physical green cards will not be here yet (number 1 problem), and I wasn't really planning on her leaving so soon for school after just getting here and am concerned about the "abandonment" question coming up when she DOES try to return (permanently) around mid-December! (number 2 problem).

What forms if any shall we obtain and complete prior to her departure to Colombia for school in July, shall we schedule an infopass appointment to our local office to explain things (Milwaukee in our case)??

Remembering that these are Ir-1 and IR-2 Visas does that make things any easier when you have to travel out of country so soon,do we still need to apply for AP or use some other form of notification to Immigration??

Many Thanks.!
