K-2 Visa Questions after K-1 approval

We are confused about how to get the K-2 Visa for my Fiance's son. Her Visa was issued last week at the Abu Dhabi Embassy and picked up yesterday - 09-FEB-2015. When I check on CEAC it lists the case number twice with a 01 and 02 ate the end like below - the 01 now shows issued and the 02 shows Ready.

Her son is living in the Philippines, studying there and couldn't get here in time for this interview.

I emailed the Embassy and asked if we could bring him here and have the medical and interview done here and could they scheduled the interview for him in mid April. We would bring him here on a tourist Visa. The response (very quickly) was to call the call center to reschedule the appointment. Which really doesn't answer the question.

We want him to come with us to the US at the end of April but are confused if he has to interview in Manila or if it can be done here. I have seen on this site that only someone with a resident Visa can interview in a foreign Embassy. If Manila how do we get the case to the Manila Embassy.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for any and all advice.

I applied for k2 too. There's a clause at confirmation page where children under age 14 need not attend interview. I only took my son with me because no one would look after him. But he was asked a few

I processed my k1 in abu dhabi,i have k2 who is living also in philippines,the reason why they didnt answer your question,is because your k2 is not allowed to have his medical and interview in abu dhabi..only the resident can process their visa in usem abu dhabi,they dont allow tourist visa to have done the interview in their office..you have to email manila usem to transfer the case for your k2 so he can have his interview done in manila..goodluck BTW in ceac shows 1 for your fiancee 2 for the k2 Edited February 12, 2015 by hardrockangel
