Appontment IV - Guangzhou

My Wife and I recently got the IV Appointment e-mail from Gangzhou, but have been running into some difficulty submitting the DS - 260 confirmation to a CITC bank in Beijing. First they said we had the wrong information (because they hadn't really seen an immigrant visa application before). Second they accepted our documents but then tried to take my wife's actual passport instead of a copy. That can't be right, can it?

I'm in the US and it is impossible to get a person on the phone in Guangzhou which makes it all the more infuriating. Can anyone who has been through the process provide me with a clear step by step?

So far what we're trying to submit:

>DS-260 confirmation page

>2 passport photos

>Copy of Passport information page

>Document Delivery Address confirmation page

is there anything else at this time? Police certificate/birth certificates? or is that at the interview?

Sent the online questionnaire to Guangzhou but until then if anyone can help it would be so nice!
