My parents' sputum result was January 22nd and were informed via phonecall to bring all their documents on Feb 2nd. They were not told whether or not it's positive or negative.

They also make friends with other applicants who underwent sputum culture test at the same time with them and they found out that some got a phonecall to come back on January 13th, before the scheduled result release on the 22nd. Assuming they got a positive result based on what I've read here that people who gets called before the result has to undergo the treatment.

Would it be safe to assume that Feb 2nd would be their immunization and I can now call USEM to schedule an Interview?

I read here in the forum that not all the results after 60 days are negative. so I suggest to go there on feb 2nd to find out. and not to sched an appointment yet.

I was trying to locate such post but i couldn't find it.

The other people that did their sputum test with them that had positive result have been called on Jan 13th to start their treatment. My Dad even called SLEC to ask why they were not called yet and they were told that they are not on that list, but rather call back on Jan 30th to schedule Immunization. But they were called January 23rd and was told to come back on Feb 2nd and bring all theirs docs, including passports.

I wish my parents asked more specific questions, but they didn't and assumed that Feb 2nd is for immunization.

well, its up to you, if you think you're 100% sure its negative then call the embassy and make an appointment. but if you will ask me, the best thing to do is wait. nakapag hintay ka nga ng 2 moths ano ba naman yung ilang days lang diba? and its not easy to reschedule then after you find out its positive, call and reschedule again... just my POV.

My guess is they are negative. From what I have read recently here in VJ and our recent experience ... your parents will not be given their sealed medical reports the day they complete medical because of the sputum test. SLEC will be the one to drive the reports over to the USEM. That takes a day or two. Our's was delivered to the USEM next day after fiancee completed medical.

Are there a lot of February USEM interview appointments available online?

I was hoping to get the Feb 9th but it's gone now so it doesn't really matter. There are a few spots with Feb 17th as the earliest available.

I appreciate it. My Dad decided to go to St. Lukes personally as he was asked to get a clearance from his doctor and provide it to them. So he will hand deliver it to them and hopefully he will get a clearer info.

No more speculations! My Dad confirmed that their sputum result is negative and they're scheduled for Immunization on Feb 2nd. PTL! :dancing:

So I called and setup the Interview for Feb 18th as it was the earliest available slot they have.

I truly appreciated all the info!

Hi to everyone,

i'm newbie here, i am on the same boat ... my mom's interview supposed to be this Feb. 12 but because of sputum test which is Feb. 10,11, &12 I'm sure the interview will be cancelled. My question is, do i have to cancel it? or just no show up? After that, do we have to resched the interview or wait for the embassy or SLEC to give us ached? Please i need your feedback since my mom's interview date is coming up. Hope for your help. thanks
