I think it's the way you have to believe in religion. You have to be 100% in to be truly religious. To be completely faithful you almost have to check your judgment at the curb. People need to be religious with a grain of salt. Nothing is certain. Faith should not make that so.

Not at all. Religion is very similar to politics. For most people in the world, it is one and the same. Depending where you live and who your neighbors are, you don't to believe everything you are told, but you can if you want too.

But most people aren't 100% religious. The ones that are so black and white with the texts find it easy to justify murder. The three Abraham religions seem to suggest it all the time. You just have to be able to take the text with a grain of salt.

I think you are confusing terms, but that is okay. I basically agree with what you are saying. You can be completely faithful to your own internal system of beliefs, political, religious, moral, et al, and not find a reason to kill those that offend you or the sensitivities of some ethereal being(s). Tolerance and acceptance have also been known as religious traits in some circles. The God of Abraham was a total ####### most of the time, but even He has mellowed over the ages. It is just certain people that are stuck in a past age.
