My case online has been "touched" 2 days in a row, the 30th and 31st of January.

When I contacted them on January 12th my case also received a "touched" update with no changes to the status of the case (but this actually could have been the date that the case was received by CSC after being transferred from NCS on Jan. 8), but it did make me wonder because I contacted the USCIS again yesterday (Jan. 30) by phone and talked with someone about the fact that I had not received a letter of receipt yet. (797 I think)

I read in the forum at some time in the past that the case only receives a "touch" if the bar code is physically scanned so I thought I'd turn here for an answer if anyone that actually knows has one to offer.

If anyone knows for sure that it is just coincidence that my touches are on the same date as my phone conversations or that they are the reason for my touches, please let me know by replying to this post?

Thanks.

Donnie and Sylvia
