Due to the names and the strong Asian* community in Bradford, would not be surprised if this was some kind of honour killing.

Daughters and wife found stabbed to death and father hanged. Suggests murder/suicide as previously mentioned.

*British use of the word Asian, as in Indian subcontinent.

Nope, nothing in that link that makes any reference to honor killings or the fact that they are from a specific community. UK media is so boring.

Do people who commit honor killings typically kill themselves afterward? It's not a pattern I recognize, although I admit I am no expert on why honor killings are committed and how they are supposed to be performed.

I'm not sure people should make assumptions like this without the benefit of the facts. All that happens is people fill in the blanks with their own preconceptions.

Sure, there is a sizeable asian community in Bradford and going by the man's name he probably is Asian. However, that sheds no motive for what the reasoning was for the crime.

This on the other hand - London man shoots and kills wife, kids and himself with a shotgun over financial worries. I suppose you could argue that going bankrupt and not being able to live with it is a form of 'honour killing'.

The "honour killing" bit is my own speculation. Apologies, that wasn't made clear in my post.

However, it does look like some kind of murder/suicide, motive is unclear. Though I suspect the police won't completely rule out that there's a cultural aspect.
