Hello Everyone,

My husband and I had our adjustment of status interview on July 31, 2014 and we both thought it went well. Our I-130 was approved on August 1st. We then received a RFE on August 6th to complete an additional form due to my husband current visa type. I completed the form and it was received on August 13th according to the USPS. I also had an Infopass appointment on September 29th which wasn’t helpful. He couldn’t confirm that the RFE was received or not and he just told me to wait. He did mention that sometimes an officer may not review the RFE until the time period of the 84 days has lapsed. Is that true? He did mention that our case was transferred to another officer (not the one that interviewed and requested the RFE) on September 18th. I’m worried as to why it was transferred to another officer. Could this officer be preparing a denial? How long has it taken others to receive an approval after an RFE was requested after an interview?
