Hi Guys,

I need your help. So this is a summary of my case:

I am doing a concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, I-864, I-131, I-765 for MOM and the same set of forms for my DAD. I am the PETITIONER and I am Unemployed. So my husband will be a joint sponsor for the Affidavit of Support. But I am very confused when it comes to the I-864 forms. Below are my queries:

1. Is I-864 the ONLY form I need to file? Does my husband need to fill any form?

2.On the I-864, do I select 1.a ?

Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help guys.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You are still the primary sponsor even if you are unemployed because you are the petitioner. If you have no income, your husband needs to make enough for all of you.

This would make you a household of 4, assuming that you don't have any other children or dependents. For a household of 4, your husband needs to make about $30k a year.

You need to file form I-864 for each parent. Your husband needs to file form I-864A for each parent.

Yes, you select box 1a. for each parent.
