Police arrested Olympian Michael Phelps Tuesday for driving under the influence -- again!

According to a statement from the Maryland Transportation Authority, law enforcement officials pulled Phelps over at 1:40 a.m. ET for speeding: He was going 84 miles per hour in a 45-mile per hour zone in Maryland. Phelps failed the field sobriety test and was charged with DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines.

The statement goes on to say that the Olympic gold medalist "was cooperative throughout the process. Phelps was taken to a police station but later released.

Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time with 22 medals, received his first DUI arrest in 2004 in Maryland after running a stop sign. He was 19 years old at the time. He pleaded guilty, got slapped with a fine and received 18 months’ probation.

Since then, Phelps also got in trouble over a photograph showing him with marijuana paraphernalia in 2009. The incident cost him a sponsor and got him suspended from the United States swim team for three months.
