More football violence, this time in the stands

The NFL has gotten a black eye lately for several off-the-field incidents this year. But what happened Sunday in at least two separate incidents has left perhaps several fans with literal black eyes.

Fans at Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers got into a physical confrontation. In Philadelphia, fans squared off in the stands as well. Both incidents were covered on social media, producing viral videos that have been circulating throughout the Internet.

In the Arizona incident, the altercation wasn't a contest of two burly (and perhaps drunken) men going at each other. This was a bloody melee. Men and women alike were involved.

Glendale Police Chief Jay O'Neill told HLN late Monday that he couldn't be certain that the video in question was the one that his officers made a report on because, frankly, that wasn't the only quarrel in the stands at the game.

Get it together, people.
