Entering the US

Hey VJ

I have been reading a lot more lately about what to do once the visa is issued. At first I thought that they gave us 6 months in total to get married(meaning 3 to enter the usa and 3 to get married). But I have read that they give ny fiance 6 months to enter the us and another 3 months to get married once he enters the usa! Is this information correct?

Also for the Dominican Republic, does the 6 months start after the visa is approved during the interview or after the medical?

The beneficiary must enter the US within six months of the medical. This is reflected in the expiry date on the visa itself. I wouldn't leave it until the very last day though as delays can and do happen.

Once the beneficiary enters the US, a new clock starts ticking, and they have 90 days to get married.
