Mine left NVC 29th of August and the consulate got mine on the 9th of September and sent the email on the 9th of September. So I got it yesterday :). When we rang NVC they said it usually takes about 9 business days from when it leaves NVC for the consulate to receive it.

This might be a silly questions, I'm waiting on my application to be processed/approved and noticed you knew the dates when NVC posted your application and when the consulate received it etc. Just wondering how you get this information? Do they advise you along the way via email or is there some Portal I can go to view the status? I'm feeling a little lost in this process and the more info I have the better for my nervs hahaha

Regards,

Stephen

The consulate will send an e-mail with an instruction package. It walks you through what you need to do. They also send an e-mail if you may need to revalidate your petition. Once they receive all documents, they will e-mail again with an appointment date/time which you will need to reply and confirm. After that, another e-mail when they approve and mail. You can mostly follow it through http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/index.html as well. :)

My fiance rang NVC and that is what they told him. NVC sends you a letter saying when they sent your petition off but we got that like 2 weeks after they sent it and we had already heard from the consulate by then. When you ring NVC they will give you your case number and you can check when the consulate receives it on the website. Just type in NVC case number tracker or something similar on Google and it should come up. I would send you the link but my internet is being quite temperamental today and I can't really access anything at the moment. Boo! Are you waiting for you I-129F to be approved? Also no question is a silly question! I have asked plenty of questions and someone is always there to help!
