Hi all,

My fiancee (beneficiary) is currently studying in Japan until December 2014, and then he will be back in Brazil, where he is from.

I will be sending the I-129F package this week and now I am wondering if it will be a problem for the K-1 process if I put his current address as the one in Japan, since that is in fact where he is living for now.

I guess I'm just worried that it will be a problem if he is not in his home country during this process.

Has anyone gone through this before?

Please let me know!

Thanks!!

Is there anyone at his Brazilian address to receive his mail? Either way, he won't be getting anything in the mail until after the I-129F has been approved and cleared the NVC, which will most likely be several months from now.

There is a change of address process that is relatively painless, so whatever you decide to do now isn't permanent.

I'm sorry, I was not clear at all. This is my fault. In the G-325 form for him, there is a section for his past addresses for the last 5 years. I'm wondering if it will slow down the process or affect it in anyway if I include the Japanese address as his current residence.

The address in the I-129F form, I put his former Brazilian address as his mailing address, where his family still lives.

Sorry for my confusion!

And thanks for answering so fast!
