Hello all together,

First thank you for all the information provided on this website. It has been very helpful. However, I have a question for filing the G-325A Form, regarding last five years of residency and employment. I have done some research but find conflicting information.

As a student, I have been living at many places, also I went abroad three times during the last five years. However, my official registered address on my ID Card (Germany) has been the address of my parents home, even though I wasn't living there. I'm struggling with that supposedly simple question.

I hope you have some experience. Should I state all addresses I have been living "physically" or just registered?

Also regarding the employment question, I have read as a student without employment state "unemployed", and state any employment which was paid, so it would also account for internships. Would you confirm that? Has anyone experience with a similar case?

Thank you so much in advance.

David

Hi, I was in a similar situation to you. I am originally from India but lived in Australia for 7 years then in Saudi Arabia for an year. So in my case I included all the places I stayed at. Also if you've lived in a country for a specified number of months then you'll have to get police clearances from each of those countries.

In regards to work experience I included my internships and my full-time employment in Australia. So in short, there's no harm in being truthful.

Hi expeditor,

thank you very much for your response. But I think it's not quite the same. In your case, I would have probably put the same. But in my case, I was just studying somewhere else in Germany and living there apparently. But even there I have moved to other places. Because as a student you are not that stable with your location I left my residence registered at my parents' address. Also when I went abroad, I went to Australia, Argentina and the US, but never for more than 6 months, so I was never a resident and even there I had random addresses. This said, I would have to put probably more than 10 addresses just to mention the places where I have been living at for the last five years.

It's not really about being truthful, more about filling it out correctly. :)
