Europe Trip - Removal of Conditions

My green card expires on March 6, 2015, which means the 90 days to apply for the removal of conditions begin on December 7, 2014. I've been told that upon applying I will receive a letter stating that my conditional status has been extended until the decision to remove my conditions is made. I've also been told that there might be an interview.

My wife and I want to travel through Europe from June 22nd until about July 23rd. However, I do not know how long the process to remove the conditions is. I am afraid that we will buy tickets and book tours for these dates, and then will end up receiving a notice to appear for an interview around the same time.

Would you guys recommend that I postpone my trip and wait until the removal of conditions has gone through to visit Europe?

Lastly, if I do decide to visit Europe, would the letter I will receive extending my green card be enough to return to the states once the trip is over?

Thank you very much for your help guys!

P.S.: I hope I did the math right and that December 7th is in fact the day when the 90 day period begins. If someone can confirm I did the math right I'd really appreciate it =P

The extension is for one year, so for you, until March 6, 2016. Almost always, the interview only occurs if you do not have enough evidence to prove a bona fide marriage.

The process is currently taking at least around 6 months to complete.

I personally don't think your trip will be any issue.

Yes, but make sure to carry your expired GC as well.

Thank you very much for your help guys!

I checked, and your window actually opens December 6, so yes, you are close =)

You rock! Yeah I didn't think it will be an issue, I just wanted to get people's opinions. If anything, I'll contact USCIS and let them know I will be leaving the country between those dates, so if they are planning on sending me anything they will know I will be out of the country. If an interview is schedule, I will just have to reschedule it.
