Hi, I answered a similar question. It all depends on how busy the consulate and the NVC are. First, they check your docs for completeness and accuracy, which can take 30 business days. After that it may take from a couple to several months before you have the interview. In our case, the interview was 4 months after submitting the docs, my cousin had to wait 5 months. The consulate in Santo Domingo is always busy.

This does not constitute legal advice.

It's possible, but I've noticed that the fall seems to be the busiest time of the year for the consulate in Santo Domingo. My cousin had all her paperwork sent in August and approved in September. They sent the interview notice in December, and scheduled it for January. Just hope that they aren't as busy this year. Good luck!
