I-134 CoSponsor Income Requirements - Need Quick Answer

Hi!

Quick question about income requirements for the I-134. We're using a cosponsor, my fiance's sister. She has three kids, one of which is 18 and lives on her own.

Her occupation is a nurse but she is contingent, meaning she makes as much as she wants during the year. (36.00 an hour) This can range from $30,000 part-time or up to $70,000 for full-time the whole year.

Anyway, this past year she only made $30,000 which falls short of the 5 people minimum income of ~$35,000, although as a household, her husband and her earned ~$130,000.

Should we be worried about this or will they see the household income and her hourly rate as enough? Do we need to find another cosponsor?

I wish someone had a reliable answer for you, I do not. On the face it seems wrong that the kids are fully charged only against her income without his being considered. Did they file a joint tax return? Do you have proof of other assets? Is the sponsors husband opposed to sponsorship? I seems like h's family is in it like it or not.

They joint filed their taxes- so her official household income is ~130,000 but her individual income (listed on the i134, question 7) is 30,530. She has savings of roughly 6,200 and other personal property of about 10, 000. They owe 79,000 on their house.

Will her income combined with assets be enough?

We are cutting this close. I leave for Montreal on Friday, interview on June 10... So quick answer are very,very appreciated.
