My husband is Canadian and we are filing in Vermont. Our petition was filed on 2/1214 and we received approval on 5/27/14. I know it takes 30 days for it to reach the NVC, but I was hoping to get a better understanding of how long things should take from here. We have a 3.5 year old son and an 8 week old daughter and it's been so difficult for my husband to miss so much of their lives. If we have all of our documents in order by the time the NVC requests them, how long should we expect it to take from there?

Thank you!!

That's impossible to tell. I filed in April 29, 2013 and got my approval on March 25, 2014. I just received my packet 3 yesterday. Its been 13 months & I have missed lots as well. The kids are with him in the US. Graduation for the oldest is June 13th. I will be still stuck in Canada. Keep faith, its coming soon.
