after the petition is approved by the USCIS, are there fees that needs to be paid before their consulate interview?

What will happen next after the interview ( if they pass )? Are there still fees that needs to be paid after passing the interview?

Hi,

Yes, there are fees that need to be pay before and after the interview.

Fee for DS 230 or DS 260 both are the same expect that DS 230 is send as hard copy and DS is 260 send electronically. For each member that you are sponsoring you are required to pay $230. This means $230 for your mom and $230 for your dad. And also have to pay for the affidavit of support which is $88 dollars. After their visa are approved you have to pay $165 dollars in order for them to receive their green card. You decide when to pay the $165 it could be before they come to the U.S. Or after they arrive, BUT REMEMBER THEY WON'T RECEIVE THEIR GREEN CARD UNTIL YOU PAY THE FEE($165).

Hope this help!
