CL, the courier page is emailed to you once you've paid the MRV fee (£150) and has two barcodes on it that describes where you'll pick up/have delivered your passport and BBE

So it's something different then from the receipt you can print from the website where you pay? Because that receipt has no barcode.

Yes it is. I only received it on email. I received 4 emails during the MRV payment process: 1. Yatri: U.S. DoS Visa system new user account verification; 2. Yatri: U.S. DoS Visa system confirmation of successful payment; 3. Yatri: U.S. DoS K Visa Application Confirmation (action required); 4. US Visa Personal Courier-In Instructions.

It is the final number 4 email that had the barcode on! Hope that clears it up.

Ah ok. Well you can ignore the PM then ha ha. I'll have her look for it.

She wasn't sharing her screen, so I'm not really sure what all she did and did not print.

Thanks for that help. Engineer in me is kicking in on all the details

I looked through my emails now and don't have any bar code. I have the transaction numbers (both visa payment and home pick up) but no bar code.

I looked on both my ipad and laptop (incase my ipad was missing something)

Hmm

Found it. She got online. One barcode. She will print it.

Email 4. US Visa Personal Courier-In Instructions was dead on. Did have to make it "show" the image though for it to appear for security reasons on her AOL.

Subject of the email was US Visa Personal Courier-In Instructions

It was sent to fiancee, not me, as it was sent under the profile she registered when she paid.

I can't find that email. Every other email I received does not have that heading :/ I printed off the proof of payment emails, but no barcode, nor can I see where there could be a barcode.

This is the info I got from Mattwood

However, i heard as long as you have some kind of receipt that you paid for both (visa and delivery) the embassy is still ok without the bar code. I just wanted to be uber prepared to I found ours.

Don't lose that NOA2. It should have stayed in the USA. It is NOT for the visa interview. A photocopy of it goes in the AOS application.

Hi Nick!

I'm hoping you can give me some suggestions.

I just got my interview date yesterday; yay! 25th of July!

It has just dawned on me that the strongest document is my birth certificate is missing.

I'm filing through my Dad who's USC. I have certified copies which I got from applying for my masters years ago but I don't have the original and as I was born in Nigeria it's impossible to get an extract of the birth register.

I have a family studio photo from when I was 6 but I could've been his orphaned niece or something lol. It doesn't prove paternity.

In your experience what's the US embassy in London like on stuff like this?

Thanks.

Certified copy. Certification can be in many forms stating it is a true copy of your birth record. It might be "certified" with an ink signature, an ink stamp, or a raised embossing you can feel. It can't be a picture (photocopy) of the certification mark.

An example of my American birth record-- Somebody at my county gets my original record out and makes a photocopy of it. Then she adds an ink stamp stating it is a true copy of my Birth record from Jones County, Texas. Then she Signs in ink--Mary Smith 5/25/2016. Then she crunches the corner with an embossing of the County seal.

Her ink signature and the county seal shows she "certified" the copy she made on 5/25/2016. The ink and the embossing are real. I couldn't just photocopy her certification marks. I would have to take the one with her original marks/signature. Does that help? That's the only kind of certification I know. Somebody official from the birth record office signs off that it is my true birth record on file.

Do you have anything similar to that?

I'm looking into getting a certified copy from the register, only that record keeping isn't the best at the Nigerians local govt level.
