Hi all! This is my first time posting. My friend led me to this website and it has been so helpful!

My situation: I am a US citizen and my boyfriend lives in Norway. He is in the process of gathering his materials to apply for an O-1. We both feel rather unsettled that this visa may not go through, so we are also talking about getting engaged and going the K-1 route. We will get married eventually anyway, so it's not just for the visa.

He was planning on applying for the O-1 with an expedited service which would process in 15 days. Then if he doesn't get that, we would start the arduous K-1 process.

My question: Can he be red flagged for being denied one type of visa and trying to get another type? We don't want him to seem suspicious, etc.

Thanks for any experience or info you might have.

No, this won't be an issue.
