Hi folks. Bit of a dilemma here. I submitted all my forms to the US embassy in London last year, before the date when the DS160 became mandatory, as I was led to believe. I had my medical on January 31st, and a follow up x-ray on February 28th. I was told that the results had then been passed on to the Embassy. I am still waiting for an appointment letter, nearly 5 weeks later. After reading a post concerning the DS160 yesterday, and the Notification of Applicant Readiness e-mail form, I am wondering should I fill this in too, or will my previously submitted forms be adequate for the requirements of the Visa processing unit? If I complete the form, would that render all my other forms irrelevant? I cannot reach anyone at the Embassy to discuss this matter, since they have terminated the helpline! This decision by the Embassy is of no help whatsoever to K1 applicants seeking information in their quest to determine their neccessary course of action, and I question their choice in removing such a helpful service! Should I use the email contact form to ask the relevant questions, or continue waiting for a letter regarding a prospective interview? I am totally in the dark regarding what to do next, to be honest. Should I fill in the DS160, and the Notification of Applicant Readiness form, which I believed was not necessary at the time I submitted my original forms, or continue chewing my nails, holding my breath and suffering from stress, waiting for a letter which may never arrive, due to my negligence in not filling out this accursed form, which I was led to believe was not necessary at the time I sent all the documents to the Embassy? Any helpful advice would be more precious than gold. Thank you for reading my rather anxious post, and I hope to hear from you wonderful people very soon. :reading:
