Hello.

Me and my fiancee are waiting for my interview now in April at the consulate at Rio, and everything is working fine. We've been having some questions about the support and sponsorship documentation though, and I wonder if somebody could help us.

My fiancee is now employed with a career job, and he will be able to provide the documentation stating that he has a enough salary. Since I am applying for a K1 fiancee visa, does this mean that the automatic best choice for my sponsor would be my fiancee, another family member, or - with the fact the my fiancee is employed - do I even have to this? Also, is it required to the sponsor to be American?

Me myself am going to get in the United States unemployed, my fiancee has a job; I'm of course bringing some money with me, and also have my family's help for whatever is necessary: for example, I have ways to prove my dad has conditions to help me financially - should this be included in my papers?

If there's anything else that would be helpful in this part of my process, please let me know.

Thank you!

If your fiancé makes enough money, you don't need a co-sponsor. And no, you don't need to include any information about how much money you're going to bring to the US or the help you can get from your parents.

K1 Visa in 2013

AOS in 2014

N-400 in 2015 {based on Section 319(b) INA}
