my fiancee is in the military.

I have a copy of his W2 and his leave and earnings statement (LES)....this shows his tax etc.

do I also need to provide a copy of his tax return for the interview as evidence of support?

How about a couple of payslips? Copies would suffice.

As for Tax return, I would advise a tax transcript. This can be found here: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

He can enter his details and download the pdf and then email it to you, or if he gives you his details you can download it yourself.

Takes 5 minutes, and you don't have to wait on post like you used to, only months ago. It seems like a no brainer for the amount of effort required.

he doesnt get payslips per say cos hes in the navy...hos LSE is kinda like a payslip so hoping that will do

Then yeah, the LSE is fine. Just think of anything confirming his income, that plus a tax transcript and the w2 if you have it would more than suffice.
