Hello,

My wife a US citizen is currently petitioning for her father. My wife does not work and neither will her father when he arrives to the USA (he is over 68 years old) and he will be living with us. I am planning on being the co-sponsor with my wife for her dad’s petition. I am planning on listing him as a dependent on our yearly tax returns when he lives with us in the USA.

Once her dad receives his green card and SSN we are planning to file an F2A petition to bring his 17 year old unmarried son to the USA. I plan on being the co-sponsor on that as well along with my father in law.

Even with the 6 member household (me my wife, 2 kids, father in law, and brother in law) I still make adequately more than the 125% poverty line

Am I legally allowed to do all this?
