A Question or Two ...

Hi Everyone!

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

If you look at our signature, you will get an idea of what our timeline is.

So, my question is, my husband just received the letter for his Biometric's appointment and I was wondering, what is this 'thing' everyone is calling "Early Walk In"? Is it possible for my husband to go for his Biometrics earlier than the date indicated on the notice? And if so, how do we go about doing that? Do we just drive over to the Biometrics location and wait in line in, hoping that they will see him and take his prints?

Also, how long after you take the Biometrics do you receive the EAD?

And lastly, anyone else in the New Jersey area? We were told the NNJ local office is processing rather quickly? Has this been anyone's experience?

Thanks.

Mimi na Wewe.

- An early walk in is just as you suspected, as long as the office isn't busy at the time it should be fine.

- Yes it is possible.

- Just how you described by taking the notice to the Application Support Center

- Yes

- It varies widely from case to case but is 60-90 days from your receipt notice

- Not I

- Don't know

A follow up question, by doing the "Early Walk In", does this hasten your case with USCIS or is it just a matter of convenience for you?

That's a matter of speculation; it doesn't seem to hurt, and may or may not help speed along the processing. There's so much variability in the processing times that it's not possible to tell. If it does speed it up, it won't be by much.
