mailed response to NVC yesterday.

my husband mailed the missing 2012 tax return to NVC yesterday. After calling to find out what exactly was wrong, they told us that the tax return for 2012 that my husband sent was the one frm the state. they want the federal type..how could my husband made such a mistake not to send the federal one in the first place? . And our expedite request was also denied.When I asked NVC how long before another response after receiving the correct document? they said 30 business days sooo unfair after waiting so long to b reviewed i thought they would take less since we hv already been that stage and only resubmitting a needed document. The RFE letter said 20 business days, but while talking to the NVC operator she said it has been changed to 30 business days now.

Does any one on this community think it would b a good idea to hv my husband ask his congressman to speak to someone there to get them review the received document?

When I was dealing with NVC it really took at least 20 working days sometimes more. Just to change my embassy took over month. I came in usa to visit my husband and than I was supposed go back in Europe and finish with NVC. We tried to call uscis if there is somehow possible for me to stay and finish it here because with NVC it would take few more months, maybe even more because when I submitted online form after at least 2 months they were keep telling me there is nothing in system. So that would hold up my case. I don't know about the congressman but I heard as long as they do it within their timeframe congressman shouldn't be envolved. I understand your frustration but unfortunately you have to wait. What is great with NVC is that they are sending emails and not letters so you get information really quick. Good luck

u have to give them some time to review the checklist response. 2 weeks at the very least.

im also waiting. its been 2 weeks already. still nothing. hopefully by the end of next week ill hear something.
