Hello everyone I just recieved an email that my request for an interview expedite was approved.

Now my question is should I call the US Embassy in Santo Domingo or will they send me an interview letter ?

Also I checked the ceac website and saw this message "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." This has me a bit comfused becuase now I dont know how I will know about my interview.

Congrats on your expedite. Once an expedite is granted by the US consulate it means the NVC stops handling your case and forwards it to the US Consulate in your country, DR. So the consulate will set an interview date for you once they receive your case. You said it is still in transit so keep checking ceac everyday until it shows your case is Ready for an interview at the consulate.

Then I suggest you send an email or telephone the US Consulate asking them on the way to go forward and they will get back to you with an interview date.

While you wait go over to the DR Embassy info page here on VJ to see all what you'll be needing for an interview and get the list of Doctors for your medical and get that done so that you don't waste anytime. Be proactive while you wait to get an interview date so that you don't lose any time especially with medicals, police certificate etc

Good luck.

Thank you :)

I sent an email to request the expedite for my case on January 29,2014

Then on January 31,2014 they emailed me back requesting to foreign phone numbers, I replied the same day and on February 3,2014 I recieved another email saying I had to resend the numbers with all of our info.(case#,dob, priority date, etc.) and I did so that very same day.

And this morning I recieved the approval. ?

If you have the same experience as I have seen here for others DR will send you an interview date soon. Congrats so exciting!

Thanks! :)

Do you know if I will recieve the interview letter here in the US or my husband in the DR or if they send any letter at all ?

How awesome for u!!! Finally some good news that shows good reasoning! Our baby is already 6 months. He's missing everything. So so soooo sad. We got to spend a month together during my maternity leave once I got the baby's birth certificate then passport. And then
