Hello;

My wife from a k1 visa completed her biometrics on 1-16-14. I understand that it's good for 15 months. From what I've heard the next thing we are required to do might be a interview, so we're trying to prepare for that. However some say we won't necessarily even have to do an interview.

My questions are, if we don't need to do the interview then what's next on the timeline, & what has to happen during the 15 months that the biometrics are good for. Pardon my lack of understanding, but we did get her here, got married within the 90 days, applied for AOS, & did the biometrics. What's next & what's the general layout that all this leads to, & how long does it take?

Thanks, much for any info.

Be prepared and expect an interview. Perhaps in the near future you will receive an interview waiver letter, or a interview appointment letter. The timing for either of those events is currently all over the board, sometimes with protracted waiting times of a year or more. For some ideas of recent AOS activity, review recent posts in the Family-based AOS Progress Forum:

Good luck on your immigration journey.
