G-325A questions - parents special characters in names

Hello!

I used the search function, but couldn't find the reply to my question anywhere, so I'll try it this way.

I am filing for the K1 Visa and am filling out the G-325A for myself.

My parents were both born in Poland and both their first names and their birthplace use special characters.

Do I put the right symbols in (for example: Łódź instead of Lodz) or does it not matter?

I know there is a space to put non-roman letters in if MY name has different letters (luckily that is not the case), but there is no such space for my parents' names.

Hi i typed the form on the computer without polish characters but then added those characters by pen (couldn't be bothered to change settings on my laptop to enable polish keyboard settings etc).

If you have an option to type it then I'd do that or just add it by pen too.
