Upcoming interview.....nervous!

Well, finally the moment of truth.....interview on Thursday. As excited as we are, both of us are worrying what could go wrong. All the paper work is in order. My finance had a mild stroke last year but had no lasting effects. At the medical, the dr. said it is not a problem but did send him for additional heart and breathing tests which he passed.

He also had two blips on the police cert years ago. A dui which the penalty was a small fine and no driving for a year. He also had a battery charge which was dropped.

We are both in our fifties and we just want to get on with out life together. I am adopting his 13 year old son when they arrive.

I guess nothing in life is guaranteed.....but praying for a good outcome.

Roll on Thursday!

Good luck! I'm sure things will be just fine. (:

Our interview is Wednesday, and we're getting nervous too.

I have mine on the 22nd of January, when paying the mrv fee did you get the list of required items that included all past passports?

I think only one of my other past passports had a stamp in it and it was for the czech entry on a school trip prior to EU membership, yes it was that old.

Do you think I need them?

This is the link that we used for the US Embassy London website http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html .

I know my finance is only bringing his current one....not even sure if he has passed ones.

Good luck!!!!

London doesn't worry about past passports, especially if they don't have any US Visas or the like in them. You're fine.

"What's yours is mine!"

It's easy for me to say as I've been there, done it, but the embassy is honestly a walk in the park. The medical is the worst part of the process by a mile, then again, I have white coat syndrome LOL. My AOS interview once I was here was more detailed than my embassy interview. Nothing's a formality, but the embassy interview in London isn't far off. You'll be fine ;)

Congrats :-) We got approved today too.

You are right, it really is easy there and they dont ask for anything more than the basics if you have a straightforward application.
