Hello there,

I've been trying to figure out whether I have to send form I-612 to USCIS in order for them to approve my HRR waiver.

From the instruction sin the form ("Who must file this form") and some forum posts it seems the form is only required for hardship cases.

However, from other forum posts (and the responses they got), it appears on ocassion USCIS and some of you, believe the form applies to no-objection cases also.

Did anyone who received a no-objection based waiver sent the I-612 form to USCIS or knows whether I should send it?

Best,

Marshall

Hi,

Just got my waiver of the HRR aproved by USCIS. For those coming after me, the answer to my onw question is "no". For no-objection-waiver it is not necessary to send a I-612 to USCIS.

USCIS will mail yo a I612 upon approval of the waiver request.

PS:

I started the process in late May 2013.

Embassy sent the letter of no objection on Sep 25th.

DOE acknowledged receipt of letter late October 2013.

DOE favorable recommendation Dec 23rd.

USCIS sent NOA Jan7th

USCIS approved waiver of HRR on Jan17th 2014.
