INS has not existed since 2003. Did you call the number?

Yes, I did. I spoke with a woman who called me back who basically made no sense.

I've called access, social services ect...

Here's the problem that we're having.

Although the people on here are 100% right, this was what it USED to be. Because of obamacare, it's making it a lot harder for people to get coverage.

For instance, he can't have medi-cal, but when we got to get private insurance, you need to show income, and as of now it's "0". Which means he can't get private either. So, what is he supposed to do? Just be uninsured and then hope for the best?

He's in soccer right now and the last thing I need is for him to get a broken leg/arm and then see a $10,000 medical bill, because I wasn't even given an option.

He's got an interview tuesday, which HOPEFULLY, will go extremely well. But it's a miracle he even found an open position out here with his dyslexia.

I'm on medi-cal as of right now, because my mom has listed me as her dependent. If she hadn't have done that, I would be out of luck as well. I JUST started a new job, and my I barely have any savings. They act as if younger people just have cash to burn. Most people my age are still living with their parents and working their way through college.

I just feel at a loss, because there's nothing he can do. We'd have to wait a few months before $$ starts coming in, so we could pay for his insurance, but what about UNTIL then? Anyone in the same boat as us, who has ANY info would be appreciated.
