Hi All;

When I first began the IR-1 process my house was on the market. I sold it and have since moved twice and as I am likely to continue to get mail from Canada after I leave the country to join my husband in the US (addresses I might forget to change). I have been using my friend's address for all my mail. I lived in one place for a month and have been in another place for over 6 months. My mail is still going to my friend's place. It is just easier for me, all my grown children's mail goes there too (the stuff they still need to change ie: magazine subscriptions etc).

USCIS had my original address and my correspondence from them was forwarded to my friend's house from the post office.

On the DS-261 I put my friend's address as I hadn't filed for electronic correspondence at the time. Also there was no place to put a mailing address. My driver's license has my actual physical address on the front of it but my mailing address (at my friend's house) is also registered with the motor vehicle branch.

I don't want to cause a checklist or set off any alarms about my address so which address should I put on my DS-260? My actual physical street address or my friend's address where i send all my mail?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

K
