Hi guys. Anyone know the answer to this? Will give you the relevant points.

I have an employer who is interested in petitioning for a H1B for me. He would prefer that I start work sooner than next October, and asked if there was anyway I could do this?

I am currently in M1 status. Now, I am aware that I can not adjust status on M1, so I will have to go home for consular processing for the H1B to get my passport stamped. However, while that application is processing, I would like to use the OPT to work from May 2014 until September, going back to the UK pretty much to just get my visa stamped.

By the time May 2014 rolls around, I will have been in M1 status 1 month short of two years. I extended my M1 status into a second (in May 2013) year by being issued a new I20, I left the country, and reentered on the visa. Now, when I apply for OPT, will I be eligible for up to 6 months because I have been in M1 status for nearly two years? I have heard conflicting stories here. They say that, because I got a new I20, then I would only be eligible for OPT for the one, recent year for the new I20. Or could I apply for enough OPT based on all the time I have been in M1 status?

Thanks
