Hi,

My Parents just recently came to the US about a month ago. I am waiting for the Permanent Resident Card to came in order to apply for my brother and sister. In the mean while, i would like to know what is needed in order to sponsoring for my brother and sister. The petitioner will be my parents. If anyone have a specific checklist or cover letter that specify what is needed for the I-130, can you please let me know. From reading the forum and researching, this is what i found out so far.

Petitioner is a LP resident and the required documents are listed below. If i am missing something please let me know.

I-130 for each individual

Petitioner G-325A for each individual beneficiary

Copy of Petitioner Permanent resident card

Copy of Petitioner Birth Certificate

Petitioner Photo (2)

Tetitioner Marriage Cert (copy)

beneficiary Birth Cert and Translation

Beneficiary Passport

Beneficiary Photo (2)

Beneficiary G-325A

Application Fee ($420)

Since my parent income is not enough for the sponsoring. They need my income as a main sponsor. What document do i need for this? Please let me know if i need anything else or i am missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Once again Thank You for your time and effort

Hi! You don't need to wait for their green card to send the paper works. In lieu of it you can photocopy their passport the biographic part and the part where they entered the us 'cause that is good as green card for one year. This is what we did for my siblings when my mom applied for their petition. As long as your parents got their SSN already which will be needed in the i130 form.

As for the NVC process, do they live with you. If yes you can fill up the 864a as a member of household. Make sure that your income is enough or above the 125% of the poverty guideline with the number of people in your household plus your parents and your siblings. If not you need to look for a co sponsor who can meet that. Provide evidence showing that they live with you like Ids, bills on their name, etc. you can also provide pay stubs and letter of employment. If their income is zero write an explanation letter why and why they don't have itr. Read here and you'll get a lot of idea.Good luck and God bless:)

Your parent/s does not need G325a to petition your siblings. G-325a is only needed if you are petitioning a spouse.

thanks. Do i need to send the green card in later as an update to our application?

We didn't send a copy at uscis and the petitions got approved. We send the photocopy of it during the NVC process when we submitted the aos package:)
