My fiancee and her 4 yr old daughter both had their medical this week. We were nervous because her daughters TB skin test came back positive for exposure so she went back today to receive her x-ray results which were good! Her daughter had received BCG vaccine which I knew many times shows a false positive skin test but still was worried. Thank God they both passed and the weather was not too bad in Manila today for them to be able to safely travel there/home. Next step embassy interview!!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda passes through, may God be with you all.

My Fiance and two kids also had medical this week and both kids also tested skin positive but after xray were cleared and received shots. We were pretty scared for awhile but many here on VJ had assured us many kids are exposed but don't have TB. CFO and Embassy interview on Thursday :-)

My Fiance daughter was also positive for skin but Xray was inconclusive and she was still able to travel. However 2 weeks after arriving here in the US we received a letter from our County health department requesting her to examined and tested again. We went and thank god all the additional exam and test prove to be negative.

So just keep in mind that there is a possibility that once she gets here she will undergo additional testing.

Thank you for the heads up that we may receive notice once she arrives here, really appreciate it. Good to know so if it happens not to worry.
