When you guys filled in your timelines did you put the actual date of the NOA1/NOA2 or the date you recieved it in the mail? The actual date of my NOA1 is 11/24 but I got it in the mail on 11/30, so I put 11/30 in but I'm wondering if I should put the actual date in instead.

It realy does not matter as this is only a guage for VJers to figure out the averages for NOAs. I put the date on the NOA 1 & 2, not the actual receive date. JMO, Ken

I think it's meant to be the date on the NOA1 (having read that on a few threads here) - but I'm sure plenty of people put the day they actually got it in the mail. Ours arrived on November 7th but the date on it was November 2nd - I put Nov 2nd in our timeline.

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

I was in the UK when mine was mailed so I have no idea when it actually arrived. Besides which, I thought what the timeline was asking for is the date that they had issued it, so that's the date in my timeline.

But as its just a gauge for us to use, it doesn't REALLY matter.

There's a date on it and then there's the date that you recieve it, it could be either so that's why I asked what people generally have done. ;)

Since it doesn't matter, I changed it to the date on the NOA1 so when I see my NOA2 online I can update my timeline right away without waiting. :P:lol:
