I'm probably just being over eager but our I-130 was delivered to the London Embassy last Wednesday, 23 October before 1 p.m. and I still have not received an NOA1 (I submitted the electronic notification form). I assume this is normal? What were other people's experiences?

2013-22-05: Sent I-130 to Chicago Lockbox

2013-10-06: NOA1 received - Petition at Overland Park, Kansas

2013-11-12: Email stating our I-130 has been transferred to a local USCIS Office

2013-13-12: Email stating our I-130 was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Have now decided to do DCF through the London Embassy:

2013-22-10: Overnighted a second I-130 to London

2013-24-10: NOA1

2013-21-11: Letter requesting that we cancel our I-130 petition filed in the U.S.

2013-09-12: NOA2

It can take a week or two to get a notice, sometimes it just never shows up. If you sent it recorded and you know it got there, that's fine. :)

They send it in the post regardless of the e-notification form.

Welcome to the DCF club! :)

Wait wait wait.. I think I just told you a nonsense. :( They DO send the NOA1 by email. We got ours that way (got lost in the spam folder) but it did take them a while to send it. They sent it when they took the payment, so keep an eye on your bank account.

This is great!!! We will definitely have to keep track of each other's progress. I'm not gonna hold my breath but I'm really hoping to be done with the process by the end of January! From the way I see it it's taking them about 3 to approve the I-130... so mid November and then about 6 weeks to schedule an interview after the next few forms are filled out so that would put us at the end of December but that's Christmas/New Year's so hoping for an interview date by mid January/end January. I'm probably being unrealistic but a girl can hope!

and yes, POE is port of entry :)

I was thinking more March/April time? Hmmm who knows really!? Maybe I am hoping slightly later than January as we have a home to sell here in the UK first. :-)
