How long is the oath que in Dallas

A friend of mine had an interview last week and got this message on Monday:

"On October 14, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

1. Does anyone have any idea how long does it take before he get his oath letter? He lives in Dallas.

2. Will the USCIS website update another status after this one saying that he has been scheduled and the oath letter has been mailed before he actually receives it? Or is this the last status he would see until he receive the oath letter?

I interviewed on Sept. 12 and passed, still waiting for oath que. Online case status is "testing". I did change my first name. Wonder if e-request works.

if your case is beyond posted processing time by uscis you may e-request your case. My is about 5 months from NOA, don't know if it works.

I think you case is delayed simply because of the name change. It will eventually come through.
