Hello everyone I am completely new to this and have a few questions. I have read the guides on here as well as on the USCIS website on how to fill out the I30 for my husband. We recently got married and now that im back in the states im going to start on his paperwork. I think I have information overload I cant stop reading and trying to start this process without having any mistakes to make it move as quickly as possibly but knowing it may be a year or more for my husband to come and be with me. I have the information on the forms I need to fill out but have a few issues first he is from palestine and they live in a small town with no home address how am I supposed to go about that?? Next I keep seeing something about a barcode not really sure what that is if anyone has any information about this that will be wonderful. I have read a few stories about different members on here and their experiences both the good and the bad hopefully mine will not be too stressful but I am here for the long haul and going to put as much effort in as I can to get my hubby here asap :) thanks again in advance for any information or advice!!!! Good luck to everyone that is still going through this process and congrats to all whom have finished

Barcodes only come into play in the second half of the process, i believe.

I think you should start with collecting everything for the initial I-130 package and mailing it as instructed in the Guide and I-130 filing manual in the USCIS site. THen you can start preparing the documents for NVC while waiting on the petition to be approved. In Russia we have a saying that goes 'How do you eat an elephant? Piece after piece.". I think this process is exactly the case.

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.
