How quickly can I get the LDN #

Hi everyone,

Delighted to receive my NOA2 today - hurrah

So the next step is waiting for package 3. I notice the London Embassy is going to online submission from 1 Sept for package 3 forms http://london.usembassy.gov/ds2001.html so not sure what will be sent to me.

I know some people have managed to find out their LDN# before receiving the package 3 by emailing the Embassy with an enquiry, via uscis.london@dhs.gov (thanks TomandCatie) How long do you need to leave it before doing that?

I am really keen to try and have my medical before 27 September, fingers crossed, as I'm due to be out of the country 1 Oct - 1 Dec (although if necessary can change my ticket to come back earlier). That way I could submit all the forms a bit later to allow for the Embassy interview to be scheduled as soon after 1 Dec as possible. And even have Christmas in the States!!!

Thanks for any help

Hi,

I would leave it 3 weeks before asking for your LND number.

USCIS will be able to help, but only after about 3 weeks from the NOA2.

You can always try to send an enquiry to this link: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

But the changes of them having an LND number right now are pretty slim.

PS: Congrats on your NOA2!

It is a milestone! I was super excited when I saw I was approved.

The wait from NOA2 till the packet 3 might be a little long but you should get the letter within a month max. You can start calling people after 3 weeks or so, which is what I did when I saw no letter arrived

I received the letter today with the LND # but it was assigned on the 27th. So it took us 3 weeks and 4 days for it to be assigned to his case. I'd give it 3 weeks and then email the uscis email, or wait until the 2 week mark and use the online contact form. They are a week behind, so by the time they see your request it will be 3 weeks :)

The contact form would be the way to do it first. They aim to respond within 5 working days. If you don't get a respond within that frame, then email the USCIS office.

Hi!

Our medical was fine. My husband didn't like it, but it went fine. No news from them so no problem, I suppose.

No interview assigned yet for you?

Just a thought but does anyone know about the new form DS-260 ?

As our attorney filed our case there in USA ( i am in uk , hubby in usa ) i am just wondering do we now have to submit that too? as they have not reviewed my case as yet at NVC. We are on the 20 day wait time frame .

Yes it is most probably still sitting in a pidgeon hole somewhere !!!

Many thanks idea9dv.gif
