Good Morning,

Does anyone think the recent changes to the US Embassy in London would have caused there to be a delay in getting visa's out to people? unsure.png I have been waiting over 2 weeks for the visa after being told I should get it within 2-3 working days. I have been looking at other people's visa timelines and they have had interviews after mine and received their visa's already. I'm worrying mine has got lost or something. The Embassy are so hard to get in contact with it seems to speak to a real person and as i work 8am-6pm weekdays I cannot make the call during work time. I'm so confused and worried as to it's whereabouts...

Call the london embassy tomorrow if you have not heard anything, and ask them if it has been passed on to the courier yet. They should be able to tell you this, as you have been waiting for quite some time. Also you need to know if it is in the courier`s hands. Try and call during your lunch hour under the `visa case status update` option so that you can speak to someone directly.

I think if it was the changes to the embassy to blame then other people would also be in your situation not just you.

I agree that you should call them and email them, trying to chase up whats going on. Im sure you have done this already but keep bugging them!

[December 2012] Steve comes to the Uk to spend xmas with my family!

[July 26th 2013] We call DoS and are finally given our case # - I book medical immediatly

[July 29th 2013] Case forwarded to US Embassy, London
[August 8th 2013] Packet 3 sent (before received)

[August 9th 2013] Packet 3 received
[August 13th 2013] Medical

[August 16th 2013] CEAC updates - London logs my medical results

[August 20th 2013] - CEAC update - London logs my packet 3

[August 23rd 2013] I call DoS and they tell me my interview date, (2 weeks since I sent ds-2001)

[August 27th 2013 CEAC update - London dispatches packet 4]

[August 29th 2013] Packet 4 received
[september 24th 2013] Interview - Refused due to passport and birth certificate condition

[september 26th 2013] Emergency appt at HM Passport Office London - New Passport and Birth Certificate in hand
[september 30th 2013] DX collects passport and birth certificate

[October 3rd] - Docs delivered to Embassy

[October 10th] - London Approves and Issues our Visa!!

[October 16th 2013] 4.00pm - Visa in my hand, 11pm POE -Newark

we are in the same situation also, interviewed on 5th august, were approved but still not issued on the ceac site and no phone call :( its soul destroying, was supposed to be flying tomorrow :( Just want to be with my man now, wedding is all booked for the 14th september, getting seriously concerned now but having absolutely no luck calling london embassy, they just keep telling us to wait and check ceac :(

My fiance, who is in the UK, was able to reach the embassy at this number:

  • Callers within the United Kingdom should dial 020 3608 6998

This was last week. and it was about 8:45 pm London time when she reached them. She said he told her they closed the lines at 9pm. Of course he gave her bad information, so I would hope you would get a better informed person on your call, but you can call in the evening if you wish.

I dont seem to be able to speak to a person, it all is automated, either immigrant or non-immigrant and other option all relate to internet links that could help me, which non of them can naturally.
