hello I just got married to a j1 in Alaska and we have no idea what to do next. we are waiting for our marriage certificate but we are in the middle of nowhere with no access to normal things like a car or a town or lawyers. does the aos have to be filed before the j1 expires? if she quits her job before the aos is filed so we can go somewhere closer to civilization will she have to go back home? does quitting cancel her j1 and does our marriage matter or affect the j1? someone please point me in the right direction.
