06/19 NOA2 date. I'm going to be calling the NVC this week and hopefully will be getting my case number (fingers crossed) My interview would be at the Vancouver consulate. What I'm wondering is once I receive my case number what can I do with it? Can I go ahead and email the Vancouver consulate and request packet 3? Is there anything I can do to speed things up?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out

Start working on packet 3 once you have your case number.

Your noa2 was 06/19? You should have a case number from NVC by now...

My noa2 date was 07/08, received and assigned a case number by NVC on 07/15. If you haven't communicated with NVC between your noa2 date and now, maybe it's already been sent to the consulate? (Fingers crossed!)

Like the previous post, you can start on package 3. Get your police certificate (mine took 10mins, but I have read posts that it can take 3-4 weeks), get your immunizations if you need to, and have your fiancé fill out the affidavit of support.

Good luck :)

Yes, once you have your case number go ahead and e-mail the consulate. Put your case number in the subject line and then tell them you are ready for packet 3. You can get your police certificate from Commissionaires if you have never been convicted of a crime and it will only take a few days. If you have been convicted you will need to do the whole fingerprint thing with the RCMP. If you have been married before (if you are female or have changed your name) make sure they list all names previously used on your police certificate otherwise they won't accept it.

Another helpful link for vaccinations http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1 as all the other lists are a bit confusing. Use the table towards the end of that page (should jump right to it)

Good luck smile.png

No things are moving pretty slow USCIS only JUST shipped out the petition to NVC on July 11th. I called them today and they just received it but I was told "wait 2-4 weeks for a case number to be assigned" Its pretty ridiculous Im getting really frustrated..

My fiance is mailing off everything I need from him tmrw. As well as I'm going to my local police station to get the certificate, they said it should only take about 10mins so thats perfect! Also got a copy of my immunization and I believe I have all the shots I need.

Thank you! This was the answer I was looking for. Now they better hurry up and assign my case number so I can email the embassy..
