Had my medical today! For anyone waiting go.....they are brilliant! Very efficiant and professional. I was super impressed!!! However, V.J's I need a little advice. Something rather alarming was flagged that I was unaware of. Hopefully its all harmless and my G.P can put minds at rest tomorrow. It has obviously put my application on hold until I get more info. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it now a "how long is a piece of string" situation until I could move forward? Could this seriously hold my applcation up? Very worried about the whole thing? Thanks guys. X

Glad your medical went (mostly) OK. What sort of flag was it? You don't need to share your personal info with us, but did they just send you away for more tests, or to go back to your GP just to get a letter clearing up some confusion/matter? I ask, because if it's just a case of needing more info, then it should all get moving again just as soon as you can get your GP to fax them info, or for you to send it in.

There's been a couple folks on here recently who had to go back after 6 weeks because their xrays found that they had chest infections that had to be cleared up before they could pass the medical. That's about the longest I've heard.

16th July 2013 - Interview (approved)
30th July 2013 - POE San Francisco

6th May 2015 - I-751 filed (delivered 8th May, cheque cashed 18th May)
7th August 2015 - Approved / GC production
27th August 2015 - 10 year green card arrived

* Naturalisation (Citizenship) via Phoenix Lockbox

* San Francisco Field Office:
1st May 2016 - N-400 window opened
20th August 2016 - N-400 filed
26th August 2016 - NOA1
13th September 2016 - Biometrics

12th January 2017 - Biometrics (again)
30th May 2017 - Interview (approved)
7th June 2017 - Oath

I don't mind sharing I just don't want to over react just yet. The Doctor found a lump is wasn't aware of on my thyroid gland. Hoping its just nothing but go's without saying I'm alarmed! I guess they need a second opp before they go further?

Oh, yeah. I can see how that would be worrying for you. :( I'm sorry.

Yeah, it's simply a case of wanting the second opinion and if there *is* something amiss, what the prognosis is for your treatment (antibiotics or whatever). Finding that you are unwell is not necessarily a show-stopper! Don't panic!

I'd go see your GP asap, see what they make of it.

It might be worth a bell to the medical people again just to check with them what specifically they require at this stage from your GP, as well, so you can explain to the GP what you need.

[september 24th 2013] Interview - Refused due to passport and birth certificate condition

[september 26th 2013] Emergency appt at HM Passport Office London - New Passport and Birth Certificate in hand
[september 30th 2013] DX collects passport and birth certificate

[October 3rd] - Docs delivered to Embassy

[October 10th] - London Approves and Issues our Visa!!

[October 16th 2013] 4.00pm - Visa in my hand, 11pm POE -Newark

Awww thanks! I'm shocked but thinks its quiet common....won't panic just yet regarding my health but worried this could really hold things up. The distance feels even bigger now between myself and my old man! Ooh well. Honestly, more concearned about the smell of this bus I'm traveling home on! That's never been right! X
