I noticed on the N-400 application it asks for your physical address and then for your mailing address.

I have asked around it seems this is because a number of people have their own residence, but they use a different address to collect mail - and they all said there is nothing wrong with setting things up this way.

In our situation we just moved to our first home (Physical address), but want to keep our mailing address at our parent's house.

Since we are applying for citizenship at the 3 year mark by virtue of marriage to a US Citizen, we have to send evidence of marriage. Below is what the addresses on that evidence will state:

Driver's Licenses - Physical Address

Utility Bills - Physical Address

Deed for Property - Physical Address

Marriage Certificate - Mailing Address (was our physical address at time of marriage)

Auto Insurance - Mailing Address

Title for Automobile - Mailing Address

Bank Statements - Mailing Address

Retirement Accts - Mailing Address

Any other Financial Statement - Mailing Address

Health Insurance - Mailing Address

Life Insurance - Mailing Address

If setting up our addresses like this would cause any problems, please let me know. Or if there is any way the above situation can be tweeked please let me know.

Sorry I forgot to mention one other address, which is fairly important

Tax Returns - latest one will have the new Physical Address.

All previous ones have the Mailing Address which is where we used to live anyway
